Q: Why do you work at Lume Cube?

A: Ability to further my photography knowledge and build upon my skill set. I enjoy talking to people on a daily basis about our products and how it can take their content to the next level.

Q: What is your favorite piece of Lume Cube gear?

A: The Lume Cube Modification Frame. This small, yet powerful, accessory is one of the main reasons why people call in. This allows me the chance to talk to our customers, and provide real-time assistance when needed. I also love the Lume Cube Panel, because it helps me take awesome videos!

Q: What is one thing that you ALWAYS get asked by our community?

A: How the modification frame attaches to the Lume Cube. Although it looks simple, most people don’t realize it’s a tight fit that requires a solid push to get the frame into place. I also get a lot of general product questions about how the Lume Cube can take lighting to the next level! Give us a call, I’d be happy to chat!

I also like to direct our customers to this AWESOME YouTube video, How to Attach the Modification Frame to Lume Cubes, it is super helpful and I talk people through it.

Q: Coffee or tea?

A: Coffee

Q: What is the best part of your day?

A: After lunch/afternoon. The day is halfway done, the workload is usually caught up, and I can be proactive about reaching out to customers to see how things are going.

Q: If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?

A: Always stuck between the same two... Flying, which sounds terrifying... and super strength which would be SICK.

Q: Since you are doing customer service and always talking to our community, do you have a favorite experience?

A: Yeah definitely, all the nice things that people say after I help them out is always a great thing to hear. I pride myself on the ability to take a negative situation, and turn it into a positive one! Thank you to those of you who have worked with me and shared our great experiences!

Q: Outside of work, what do you do for fun?

A: Video Games, trying different beers and breweries around our office in Carlsbad, CA, riding my bike, Snowboarding, and going for hikes! 2020 is the year of the self-upgrade.

Q: Word around the office is that you are a big gamer, do you have a favorite?

A: Modern Warefare, bigeasy_9 on PSN. Add me and let’s get some wins!

Q: What is one thing that you would like to accomplish professionally this year at Lume Cube?

A: Increase our employee engagement within the Lume Cube community. I would love to chat with everyone more often but we’re still a pretty small team that’s growing rapidly so the workload keeps me busy from the time I get in the office until the time I go home!

Q: What do you call a cow with no legs?

A: Ground beef!

Q: If you could describe Lume Cube in 5 words, what would they be?

A: Compact, yet professionally-powerful lighting

Q: So far, what is the one thing you are most proud of?

A: At each one of the jobs I have held, I’ve been personally recognized for my work in customer service or awarded for being a great team player! I pride myself on how I can recover situations, and make others happy, so these things mean a lot to me.

Q: What are your top 5 favorite movies?

A: In no particular order: Roadtrip, Fast and the Furious, 1917 (this is out in theaters right now and you should absolutely see it), Saving Private Ryan, Free Solo.

Q: Working at Lume Cube, we think it is a pretty special place, but what about HQ do you love the most?

A: The freedom and trust to do my job to the best of my ability every day. I don’t have anyone checking in on me because I’m trusted to handle things on my own. We’re also a very open-air office, the rooms are big and open so we can all easily communicate.

Q: You are a pretty open book Will, but what is one thing that you people don’t know about you?

A: I haven’t been to that many different places around the world, but I would like to grow that list MASSIVELY. Time to get that passport and get after it!
