PRODUCT ASKED QUESTIONS

Lume Cubes have 10 brightness settings that change in increments of 150 lumens. The brightest setting maxes out at 1500 lumens.
The micro USB charging port is under the waterproof cap on the back of your Cube. When your battery is running low, you’ll see two blinking red lights on your Cube. Remove the cap* to access the charging port and charge for 60-90 minutes. A single blinking red light indicates your Cube is charging, and will blink until it is fully charged. *Lume Cube 1.0 charging port is secured by a screw cap - unscrew for access. Lume Cube products use an internal, rechargeable lithium-ion battery. On a full charge at maximum brightness, your Cube will last around 30 minutes. At 50% brightness, you’ll get closer to 2 hours of use. For best battery health, charge your lights fully at least every few weeks.
Lume Cube is a high-powered LED that will heat up while you use it. Every Cube has an internal heat sensor that will shut it down before it gets too hot to protect it, as well as your other equipment.
WATERPROOFING PROCEDURES The one and only piece you have to worry about is the waterproof screw cap located on the back of your Cube. Make sure it’s properly installed and tightened before you expose your Cube to water. There is a rubber gasket on the thread side of the screw cap – it needs to be present, clean, and unobstructed for the cap to work properly. Lume Cube 2.0 is waterproof up to 30ft. You’ll need to set your brightness setting prior to your dive, as the buttons are spring loaded and may stop responding around 50-60ft. Always make sure the waterproof screw cap on the back of your Cube is properly tightened.
The Panel Mini is 3.5” long x 2.1” high x .45” thick. it has 60 LEDs. and is housed in high grade aluminum for durability and heat dispersion. The bicolor LED light ranges from 3200 Kelvin (warm orange light) to 5600 Kelvin (cool white light) light, and adjusts in 100 Kelvin increments. For the ultimate creative control, the Panel Mini adjusts from 1% brightness to 100% brightness in 5% increments – that’s twenty unique brightness settings. On a full charge, the Panel Mini will last nearly 1.5 hours at 100% brightness, and over 14 HOURS at 1% brightness! If you’re looking for extended run time, the Panel Mini is designed to allow you to run the LED consistently while plugged in to a power source. The Panel Mini recharges with a USB-C cable. The Panel Mini has 2 (two) ¼”-20 tripod threads built-in, one on the bottom and one on the top. You can mount the light to any tripod mount, or use the included DSLR mount to slide your Panel Mini on top of a camera. The Panel Mini is a continuous light only and is not compatible with bluetooth.
WHAT DO THE 2 BUTTONS ON THE TOP OF THE LUME CUBE 2.0 DO?
The left button turns on the constant video light. If you click it multiple times, it’ll cycle through the 10 brightness settings, and holding it for five seconds will shut down your Cube. The right button activates the Bluetooth with one click. Holding it for five seconds will turn on the optical sensor. If the constant video light is on, a single click of the right button will turn it off.
HOW DO I SET UP MY LUME CUBE TO WORK AS A FLASH WITH MY CAMERA?
First, download the Lume-X App. Once your Cube has paired, you can use the app to change its brightness settings and duration. When you use your camera through the app, your Cube will act as an external flash unit. To use your Cube as an external slave flash, turn on the optical sensor.

our optical sensor is turned on and responding to the change in ambient light as you handle your Cube. To turn it off, press and hold the right button for 5 seconds.

A screen will appear on your mobile device to congratulate you, and The Lume Cube’s serial number will auto fill in the first line.
