This light has been a lifesaver and a solution for sooooo many issues I was having before. The fact that it's cordless and I live in a small apartment helps because I'm not tripping over wires all the time now. The RANGE of brightness and temperature is super versatile. It folds up easily and compact. I love the case it comes in too. it has a handle I can bring easily with me where I need.

I’ve had a studio edge for awhile, and decided to get a second. It was a good decision. I also have Profoto strobes, but higher clean ISO cameras allow for continuous light to be easily used. My question was could flat panels be as soft for portraits as a soft box. The answer is yes since you can put flat panels close enough to the head to illuminate a broader area. The flat panels tend to relax an amateur subject better than large soft box’s, to say nothing of the ease in set up for portable lighting.

Looking closely at the eyes in the photo you can observe the half setting of the panel on the left via the eye reflection. On the second closeup I chose to simply to a dongle highlight.
