Hi, I'm Giuseppe Sapori. I’m a landscape photographer, travel blogger, and digital content creator. I was born and still live, in Rome, Italy, a fascinating city full of history, culture, and art. However, I call myself a lover of travel and adventures. Over the years, I have developed a keen interest in the discovery of new places, especially places of natural beauty.
What made you want to become a photographer?
I've always had an artistic vein, photography was the way I found to channel this art. Photography is how I create something that is mine while also satisfying my other needs, like outdoor activities and traveling.
What is your favorite photo you’ve taken and why?
Probably a photo I took of a small mountain lake in central Italy, mainly for the difficulty of reproducing this shot as it was done at the time. That day the lighting conditions were very good for photography and the water level of the lake, which is usually much lower, was at the right level. After waiting almost all afternoon for the right moment, the clouds finally cleared and freed the mountain in the background. I was able to capture all the elements of colors, sky, and reflections on the lake as I had imagined them.
Why do you enjoy using Lume Cube? Do you have a favorite piece of gear?
Lume Cube represents a valid ally during my photographic outings. The Lume Cube 2.0 is an especially useful light. Not only in some of my photographic compositions, but as an auxiliary light for the most desperate uses. I love the Bluetooth control function of the lights through my phone.
Who are you inspired by?
I am inspired by many other photographers, mainly those who shoot landscapes and nature. I study the photos because I like to understand how to improve myself. I also study editing techniques as a constant source for improvement.
If you weren’t a photographer? What would you be instead?
If we remain on the subject of being creative, I would probably have dedicated my passion for travel and adventure to develop more narrative skills and storytelling. It is something that I deal with now in my photography blog, but I would probably have conveyed it more towards communication and training.
What is your go-to camera?
Nikon D850, love it!
Any advice for new photographers?
Keep experimenting and be consistent, even if this can be difficult, don't let social media blur your vision and affect your photo choices. Use social media to find the correct inspiration and try to catch what you most liked in the image.
What is your preferred editing software?
Photoshop and my extension panel , don’t need anything else.
When you process an image, what is your goal?
Try to keep the image as clean as possible of filters and presets, I believe that working selectively on images is the most concrete way to have an optimal final result. For this reason, I use Luminosity Masks to have full control of my processing.
Coffee or Tea?
Espresso
Where is the next place that you want to shoot with Lume Cubes at and how would you use the lights?
My next planned trip is an annual winter trip to the Dolomites. I like photography with snow and ice during the winter season, Lume Cube will be very useful to my photo composition to fill with light icy foregrounds
Describe your photography style in 5 words.
Exploring, travel, storytelling, inspiring and educational (I hope :))
If you could photograph anything or anywhere in the world, what or where would it be?
There are so many places that I still have not seen and photographed that I would like, I can't make a list of how many there are. I feel like saying, however, that over years I will visit and photograph them all.
