What made you want to become a photographer, specifically a drone photographer?

Never thought of being a photographer. My first drone was a gift from my friend. This is how it all started.

How and why are you using Lume Cubes in your work? Do you have a favorite piece of gear?

I use Lume Cubes in any creative way possible. Once I put them under the ice to highlight the bottom of the lake.

Who are you inspired by?

By people who create content different from others.

If you weren’t a photographer? What would you be instead?

Photography is my hobby. If I weren’t a photographer I would try 3D modeling.

If you could only shoot with ONE lens-type for the rest of your life, which would it be? Fisheye, wide-angle, prime, zoom, macro, or a telephoto lens?

Sometimes while doing commercial photography like a recent one with Lume Cubes at the factories I love to use Sony 16-35 GM. I think it is the best lens ever.

What is your go-to camera?

I don’t have a camera, I have three drones. One Mavic 1 Pro and two Mavic 2 Pros. One is customized by famous Russian artist, Pokras Lampas, so I don’t use it because I am afraid of losing it.

Any advice for new drone users?

Never stop exploring! Those things we see from the ground may look epic from above.

What is your preferred editing software?

95% editing in Lightroom. Photoshop to clean up the garbage.

What is the best part of your day?

7 PM is the most active part of the day for me. Hate getting up early!

What’s your favorite photo you’ve taken and why?

Train in the woods - I love it because it was hard to take this shot. It was raining heavily and I waited for the train for 10 minutes while my drone was flying and getting wet. When I landed the drone the water was even under the battery.

Laws and restrictions.

Where is the next place that you want to shoot with Lume Cubes at and how would you use the Cubes?

I am going to take the next shot in Moscow with tons of preparation and preproduction. Lume Cubes will be used to highlight the scene.

Long exposure with the drone.

If you could go on an adventure-photography trip anywhere in the world with one other person… where would you go and who would you take (you don’t need to know the person… celebrities are fair game)?

I want to go on a trip all around the USA. The only person I want to take with me is a driver.
