Whether you're a professional videographer or just getting started, below are some simple tips to help you create a high-quality fitness video.
Tip #1: Control Your Lighting
The lighting you choose will set the mood for your video. I'm using Lume Cube’s Studio Panels and placing one in front and one behind my subject. I am using the barn door attachments to focus my light on my subject.
Tip #2: Shoot Handheld
You want to make it feel like the audience is part of the workout. Shooting handheld lets you move quickly with the subject and follow the movements they are making. This will make your video more captivating and have more energy.
Tip #3: Pick Dynamic Workouts
You want to make sure the workout you choose matches the energy of the video you are trying to create. We wanted to create an intense, moody video so, we chose difficult exercises that showed the strength and intensity of our fitness model.
